THE DESIGNER
Graciella Starling graduated in Millinery from London Fashion School, post-graduated in Fashion Accessory Design from the Istituto Europeo di Design, in Barcelona, and Luxury Management from ISC Paris. However, the designer’s history with millinery art is not only in her strong academic background, but also in her roots.
Born in Minas Gerais, southeastern Brazil, “the birthplace of Brazilian art”, Graciella also has Scottish ancestry. Her international Academic know-how combined with her multicultural roots, results in an authentic and iconic work. Author of the term “Alta Chapelaria”, the milliner Graciella Starling introduces the renewal of the classics; fully skilled for all collaborations with major Brazilian and international brands and for her eponymous brand.
Appointed by Vogue Magazine as the “Philip Treacy in skirts”, the designer is the greatest millinery reference in Brazil, spanning her legacy in fashion and the wedding market as well.
THE BRAND
Brazilian culture head accessories were restricted for a few occasions. Barriers were broken by the brand, and the millinery got a new meaning through the avant-garde perspective of Graciella Starling’s positioning in relation to the national culture.
The brand brings innovation to the Brazilian scenario, due the fashion vanguard of the designer associated with the traditional millinery techniques used by her. This constant innovation results in unique pieces for fashion shows, weddings, parties, and also luxury carnival events.
Graciella Starling - Alta Chapelaria became a reference in the luxury market in Brazil and the favorite milliner of celebrities and major Brazilian and international luxury brands in the country.
